Cruise Iceland recently published a report of the Cruise Industry in Iceland for the past 10 years, “Cruise Iceland in Statistics 2007-2017”.

The review gives a short overview of the development of the cruise industry in Iceland for the past 10 years. As can be seen in the review the port calls have grown from 193 calls in 2007 to 620 in 2017 and is expected to be around 760 for 2018.

Destinations have increased from 8 ports to 24 ports in the past 10 years, giving more options for smaller cruise ships and expedition vessels. Top Three ports are Reykjavík, Akureyri and Ísafjörður, accounting for 57% of the total calls in 2017.
