Passengers calling at Reyjavík whose ship is not visiting Greenland can take a day trip using Air Iceland (Flugfélag Íslands) which operates flights to Kulusuk and Narsarsuaq throughout the summer.
In Kulusuk there is time to stroll around the village, purchase hand-made crafts or even strike up an acquaintance with some of the 360 inhabitants. Excursions from here include a visit to the nearby glacier, dog sledding and kayaking. Narsarsuaq in the south part of Greenland is the international airport for Narsaq. With a direct view to the inland-ice, and hundreds of icebergs floating in the fiords just outside the town, the green valley and mountains surrounding Narsaq make a perfect contrast for the visitor, who wants to experience pure and unspoilt nature.
